Campus Minister:

My name is Daniel Mason.  I grew up in Columbus, GA.  I attended Auburn University from 1996-2000. At Auburn I thought I was on the path toward Medical School until the Lord called me toward vocational ministry.   After graduation I served 5 years with Campus Crusade for Christ; 2 years in China as a missionary on a College Campus and then 3 years at the University of Alabama( Being an Auburn grad, I figured there was no darker place that needed the light of the gospel than University of Alabama.)  I then attended Reformed Theological Seminary-Orlando for three years.  While I was at RTS I served as an Assistant Pastor at a Church Plant in Orlando, Christ Kingdom Church.  This is my second year as the Campus Minister.

I have many passions and hobbies.  I enjoy almost any type of sport, but I play basketball, golf, tennis consistently.  I went to Dean Smith Basketball Camp when I was 10 years old, and have been a die hard Carolina basketball fan since, though I am an avid Auburn Football fan.  I enjoy being outside, whether it be running, riding my bike, fishing or just a good walk in a neighborhood. I play the guitar( not very well, but I attempt), I enjoy reading, poetry, and a good movie.  One of my great passions is traveling, I love being out of the country and seeing other cultures and parts of the world.

Intern( 1st year at UNC)

Hey, I’m Lizzy Benedict.  Just to tell you a little bit about myself, I did most of my growing up in Clemson, S.C. and loved this college town so much that I decided to stick around and go to Clemson University. This May I graduated with a major in Communication Studies and a minor in Spanish. I love words.  Numbers confuse me

Some of my favorite things to do include dancing, exercising, reading, watching movies, playing outside, hanging out in coffee shops, and talking. I love meeting new people, going new places, and trying new food.  I am so excited that God has called me to be in Chapel Hill and look forward to getting to know you guys!
